Maria Bartiromo is anchor of CNBC’s “Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo” (M-F, 3-5 p.m. ET), and anchor and managing editor of the nationally syndicated “Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo,” recently rated the most watched financial news program in America. Both programs air globally on the CNBC network.
In 1995, Bartiromo became the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on a daily basis. She has covered Wall Street for 20 years. Bartiromo joined CNBC in 1993 after five years as a producer, writer and assignment editor with CNN Business News.
Bartiromo has received numerous prestigious awards, including a 2008 News and Documentary Emmy for her “Bailout Talks Collapse” program, broadcast on NBC Nightly News; and a Gracie Award for “Greenspan: Power, Money & the American Dream,” broadcast on CNBC.
She also won a second Emmy Award for her 2009 documentary, “Inside The Mind of Google,” which aired on CNBC.
In 2009, the Financial Times named her one of the “50 Faces That Shaped the Decade.” She was inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame Class of 2011, for her impact on the cable industry – the first female journalist to be inducted. Bartiromo is the author of several books, including “The Weekend That Changed Wall Street,” published by Portfolio / Penguin, and “The 10 Laws of Enduring Success,” published by Random House; both released in 2010.
Bartiromo writes a monthly column for USA TODAY. She has written a weekly column for BusinessWeek and Milano Finanza, as well as monthly columns for Individual Investor, Ticker and Reader’s Digest magazines, and she has been published in the Financial Times, Newsweek, Town and Country, Registered Rep and the New York Post.
In addition to being a member of the Board of Trustees of New York University, Bartiromo is on the Board of Directors of the New York City Ballet, the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York and the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF). She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of New York, and the Board of Governors of the Columbus Citizens Foundation.
Bartiromo graduated from New York University, where she studied journalism and economics. She served as an adjunct professor at NYU Stern School of Business in the fall semesters of 2010 and 2011.

Paula Gavin

In a career that spans years of leadership and executive management, Paula L. Gavin possesses a unique combination of business, education and non-profit experience, focused on youth and leadership development.
In June, 2007, Paula Gavin was selected to become the President of National Urban Fellows, Inc. Mrs. Gavin is responsible for the overall vision, leadership and management of the organization. National Urban Fellows founded in 1969, is a premier leadership development and diversity organization in America.
Annually, 40 National Urban Fellows participate in a selective and rigorous 14 month scholarship academic and mentorship program. In addition, National Urban Fellows sponsors America’s Leaders of Change, a continuing leadership development program. Since 1969, National Urban Fellows has supported nearly 1100 Fellows, who are now leaders and change agents throughout the country. National Urban Fellows launched a Public Service Leadership Diversity initiative during the 40th Anniversary of National Urban Fellows in 2010.
In September 2004, Paula was appointed the founding Executive Director of the New York City Center for Charter School Excellence, a nonprofit organization that promotes the development of charter schools. From 2004-2007, the center was responsible for increasing the number of new charter schools while supporting 58 existing schools. Paula was also responsible for the management of academic and operational excellence initiatives; the development of good governance practices, and effective advocacy and positive positioning for NYC Charter Schools.
As President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater New York from 1990-2004, Paula directed the city’s largest youth-serving non-profit agency, and the nation’s largest YMCA. Paula doubled revenues to $100 million. During her tenure annual fundraising grew five-fold from 1990-2004, raising over $150 million in private and public grants. In her capacity, she focused the YMCA mission on education, recreation and health programs with an emphasis on youth.
Prior to her position with the YMCA, Paula held multiple executive positions with AT&T before being named Vice President of Network Operations where she supervised business planning, finance, and personnel and training for AT&T’s operational unit of 60,000.
A graduate of the University of Delaware, Paula is a Board Member of the YMCA of Haiti, the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, and the Association for a Better New York.
Paula Gavin is of Venezuelan descent and is married to John Gavin. They reside in New York City.
